I`ve never smoked, but my father, mother, sister and brother smoked every day in my house... I am so sorry to hear that. I was only diagnosed late last year. I still have the ability to walk distances just not to jog or do stairs. I find it scary that there is so? little info out there. I have no idea how long I might live and the Doctors don't seem to know much more than me. Also this is not a disease where it is easy to find others effected as it is so rare. I really hope you are doing better now.

For me it is not like I don't breathe enough air in it is more? that I can't get enough oxygen out of the air so I find myself gasping and panting if I exert myself. Still my doctor told me for a long time it was asthma but I suffered asthma as a child and knew it was something more.

I was diagnosed with PH back 2009 and today thanks to Dr. Robert Frantz and Mayo Clinic in Rochester I am now on a drug called Tyvaso and it is a solution that you put into an electronic inhaler and you breath it in. I take 5 breaths a day 4 times a day 4 hours apart and without the inhaler and two types of pills that I have to take everyday? I would not be here or I would not be in the condition that I am in now. Thank you Mayo Clinic and Dr. Frantz you guys are the best.

I don't think I'll need a transplant even though I'm in state 4 out of 4, which is the most critical. I once forgot to take my medical treatment, and I saw a big difference. I don't want to forget that anymore. Before I was found to have PH, running 50 meters was getting me dizzy and I couldn't feel my body anymore, and also pain in the throat because the air was circulating really fast. Now sports? is over for me, even at school. I don't really care about that, sports don't interest me...

I have PH and I was born with it. I'm now a 15 years old boy since mid August and my PH was discovered in May this year. Personally, I don' feel uncomfortable with this disease, I just have to be careful, which I already am. I passed pretty much all the mentioned tests. They aren't too bad. When it was discovered, I? started taking a medical treatment, and I must say it works really well. I feel much better since I take it and I get breatheless really rarely. I couldn't dress up correctly before.

Today there? is no cure for COPD, but the correct management gives patients the ability to continue with their normal lives. COPD management can include drugs, nutrition, exercise, etc. There are also specific exercises (like the ones mentioned in the video) that help patients with COPD. I had a sharp pain in my chest during deep breaths with a cough that made? it worse. The pain was very sharp and very concentrated in one area of my chest. I went to the doctor and they said that i had inflamed the cartilage in my rib cage from working out, the inflammation was causing the discomfort. apparently it's common in men in their late twenties early thirties. I took some anti inflammatorys and that took care of it.

thx for posting this video, yesterday i was offered Pulmonary Rehabilitation as i'm having some serious problems i'm 36 and have a FEV1/FVC ratio? of 41%, its dropped by 16% in the last year and this is all due to years of heavy marijuana smoking, was told i have a lung age of 109 too it's quite scary thought because if keep going the way i am i aint going to have much more time on the planet.

I have my o2 concentrater on my walker. I can tell by the way people look at me that I look pretty wacked. LOL But I don't care. I wish I had the money to have PR though. It's different with a group. My intercostal wall is inflamed from the plaque on my lungs from asbestos exposure. So breathing is very painful. Especially when I'm breathless. But if I take enough? pain meds, I've been able to walk for 20 minutes now. Fortunately, I only have to drive 3 blocks to get to flat ground.

I'm of no value to our society so getting a Pulmo to help me get PR as a big Black woman is pretty much out of the question. I demanded it when I had an HMO. I friend told me about it, not my pulmo. It was great. The few sunny days we've gotten here in the NW have made it possible for me to walk on my own.

I have dvt in my leg and a pulmonary embolism on my lung. The doctor told me I had a few small blood clots on my lung. I'm on? clexane, 110mg for 4 weeks then 40mg for 4 month. Omg I hope you are not studying to become a doctor, or worse, you managed to scrape by medschool. This guy explains everything, and it is all correct. Left heart faliure is only? one cause (albeit a severe and leading one) of pulmonary edema. I would hit the books my son, or quit Medschool if you haven't been kicked out already for being such a moron.

I tryed to make out some asbestos bodies but I couldn't find any of them without fantasizing too much. or there aren't or the resolution isn't good enough or I'm not skilled enough. ... I'll try to forget about them since asbestosis surely wasn't the cause of? the edema
