Try soaking your nails in warm olive oil once a week! super easy to push the cuticles back and take roughness away while? staying very hydrated and shiny. it doesnt soften them to the point of breaking dont worry, it actually makes my nails feel noticeably thicker. and i noticed it even takes out the ugly yellow color that nails sometimes get from over painting them. hope it works wonders for you like it does for me!! :)

You can do it without a base coat (it just means the white wont last as long) but I would invest in a good base coat anyway. I use sally hansens 'miracle cure' which? is a nail hardener/base/topcoat..... I use it ALLLLL the time :) It's good especially if you're painting your nails a colour, it saves them from getting stained

I just use Orly French Manicure Tip Guides for like $3. They are like thin strips of tape that you put on the nail and then when you pain the white line, you wait for to dry then peel off the strip for a? perfect line. Of course what you did is great too, i'm just a perfectionist :)

But her base coat wasn't for color,? it was as a protectant, so it wouldn't matter too much if it was taken off anyway. The color is the pink she suggested to put on top afterward.
