I have been on over 50 medications for various 'mental disorders' as a child, and none of them worked. What worked was not using any. So all these SSRI, SNRI, Benzo, Mood stabilizers, the list goes on are not in anyway effective, only? they have funded research that says they are.

Acetaminophen only destroys a healthy liver if you take too much at once or take a lot of it for years. Occasional and proper use of it for a headache every now and then won't kill your liver unless you already have an underlying problem or you have been heavily drinking. But, you are? very right, America does over medicate without realizing the potential harm a drug can cause. Doctors need to stop prescribing blindly based on drug companies' advertisements.

Like I said, I do feel herbals are beneficial. But, they do have real side effects and real interactions with other supplements and foods. Just like with anything that has to do? with your health, you should always consult a healthcare professional before beginning or changing something. And, if you do take both herbals and prescription medications, purposely not telling all healthcare professionals you go to about the herbals is a recipe for disaster.

Though I do feel herbal? supplements are beneficial in their own ways, people taking them should tell their healthcare professionals they are using them. Herbals are medications too, even though they are from a natural source. They have their own set of side effects and interactions with foods and other drugs (including other herbals!). Just make sure to keep your doctors and pharmacists informed about everything you take, and do your research before starting anything (prescription or OTC).

You can plant herbs in containers closer than you would in the ground since you may be harvesting them sooner due? to the fact that you control how much sun, etc. they get. You'll have to fertilize and water a bit more, though. The spacing is a personal thing - I use the French Intensive Method in my in-ground herb garden. Everything's close together so it chokes out weeds.

I have a question...I have a rabbit, and he eats herbs. They're super expensive where I live, so I decided? to plant my own for him...I planted Basil, Cilantro and parsley in pots in my window seal in our sunroom. It's been about 4 weeks now and all are sprouting up everywhere, but I put down a thick layer of seeds all around the pot, so they're sprouting up SUPER thick. Do I HAVE to thin them out? If so, how do I do that? they're still small. I just don't want to kill them :/ thanks.

Maybe your comment was voted down b/c you're wrong. :) There are many plants and substances that show anti-tumor & apoptotic effects, such as pomegranate, turmeric, aloe, and cannabis (to name just a few out of many), as well as many medicinal mushrooms. The body does have an amazing ability to heal itself, and can? do so much better when given support, but that doesn't mean that there aren't anti-tumor and anti-angiogenesis plants and fungi found in nature. :)

I totally agree... when my friend told me about herbal medicines I almost bust into a health store and fill up my basket with a bunch of herbal pills. In my case, I didn't find Chinese tea medicine to take more time than Western medicine at all. In fact, I had a prescription for 6 nights, and it? really did help my anxiety very quickly. This is wonderful. I have some questions: 1-What is the best way to preserve the infusion after its done? 2-If powder of an herb is used instead of the dry herb, is the process different and how? I need to make a healing salve for a friend that is a prof dishwasher/cleaner...her hands get absolutely raw & bleed from the chemicals...gloves arent an option...I know that Almond Oil can be irritating to some peoples skin? so would rather play it safe ...would Olive Oil be a sure bet for both of these herbs? other vids say to put the jars in the sun, for one... and another others say not to shake them, because that puts extra air into the oil & will ruin the oil b/c of too much? air = oxidation = rot... ?? so my question is if you only have 8 oz of oil over 4 oz of herb in a 12 oz jar, they say that's too much air in the jar, is that okay in your opinion? also the shaking issue along with sitting it in the sun... do you have to sit it in the sun?
