Leon was totally unprepared for fame when he won X factor. He has studiously taught himself how to play several instruments and has become a very good song writer. He has a record deal, but unlike the current crop of teens, who seem to be fine with being manufactured by Syco, playing those pubs and bars is Leon's way of getting the real world experience? he needs. That is what real musicians do. They pay their dues. I admire him for it.

I was the top ranked player in armor for battlefield 3 until 1 month ago I realized I had to achieve this? mental state of flow through other means, now i just have to find what intrigues me as much as being challenged by 32 people all at once. Interesting reply. Maybe you're right. I think everyone has had the experience of being excited and into what they're doing. But most artists who report the experience say they needed about six years before they felt the work 'coming through them', instead of being in reasonable control of what they're doing. Maybe that's elitist, but they all agreed it was more fun and satisfying then sex. Are you having that doing? something else?

I did spend a huge amount of my teens with Computer Games as well.One must remember that Computer Games are merely a substitute for other activities that might bring your state of mind into Flow as well. I genuinely think she has some very good insights, but I find her presentation to be somewhat unclear, incoherent, and rather ineffective overall. She didn't sell me. She is also difficult to follow because she speaks without pause or any vocal fluctuations, and throws in too many biographical side comments and jokes. Meditate just once and you reach the equillibrium point and stay there for at least two or three days in my experience. Main plan today is to meditate. Your advice was good? so don't sell yourself short. I really don't know much. I just like to write comments on youtube. hehe Don't be depressed. It's something I learned in a boxing class. Don't waste time with negative reactions. (I was frustrated that I screwed up the combination and made a growling noise, when I did the teachers punched me.) I find that as well. pretty much any experience during meditation is a double edged sword. You need to have them to move forward but you cannot become attached to any of them. it's not really about experience on the level of mind. It's not really about anything at all. I've actually been meditating off and on for the past 15 years, and been to a couple of retreats where you don't even speak for the duration of the stay. What you are experiencing superb, but that state of contentment and happiness is one of the traps of meditation. It's a temporary point that stunts the speed to whatever we might perceive as enlightenment. It's great if you're working and you don't have too much time for contemplation, dangerous because it's addictive?

What I mean to say is you can see things differently even when your eyes are open not just during the meditation. Hmm...As an artist, I do get allot of negative looks from people just for being "free" with myself and having the confidence to be wrong. Of course, it sometimes makes me feel insecure but it doesn't stop my creativity. I just accept that in life, both bad? and good feelings come. I disagree with his first point in the sense that the people were 'sorry' because they were afraid of what others would think, that is not true. The medium they used to convey what he wanted them to stifled them because they are not good at using the medium (Drawing). I find these conferences questionable since their intent was cloaked by a megalomaniac who really wanted to promote his agenda at a private college that caters towards trust fund babies that pay over 100k in tuition. Some mildly interesting points, but equally, Tim is doing this with a corporate agenda - the idea of teaching people how to design more effectively so that people will be persuaded to buy more products and services (that they probably don't need) fills me with dread. I've worked with many designers in my? lifetime and I always find it sad that their talents are wasted on something as lifeless as branding and such. What is corporate design? Nothing more than an oxymoron to credible creativity.

So what happens when you incorporate a song which is licensed under Creative Commons, in a video on YouTube? I've done this and the record company of the artist has filed a copyright notice. Now the record company supposedly owns the rights to my? video and has put ads on it. I've disputed the claim, and it's still in "submitted" status. I guess the record company just has to ignore the dispute and their copyright claim will remain in effect indefinitely.

Copyrighted: various other youtube users can stream the video--whether it's anybody at all with access to YouTube, or only you, or any youtubers who are signed, in or only people listed as your friends in your YouTube account settings. As far as I knew from licensing mine - reading the agreement - you deal with it the same as commercial use of any normal copyrighted work--i.e., get the copyright holder's permission and make any payments agreed by you to the copyright holder; the Creative Commons license, as a pro-forma document, only allows free use for other free users--e.g., dubbing the? audio from a YouTube vid of someone in their study playing an instrument under a video-/slide-show of your vacation photo's.

I don't have any of my videos on any of my 5 accounts (excluding my subscribetoJamie account) under the? Creative Commons license so that nobody steals any of my videos. I don't think there's a threat of a lawsuit but someone could claim it as their own and put my accounts "not in good standing" and I would've done absolutely nothing wrong.
