I actually ADORE Sara Tavares - Balance :) and it's got soul + it's very well produced :) That's why I was a bit pissed when J.cole sampled it like crap :) even though his lyrics are gorgeous? and really touched me. The J.cole version would be even more powerful if he produced it and engineered it like a pro... that's what I wanted to say :)

If you say so. J. Cole music period is always uplifting and powerful. You must? like artist like wakka flakka, gucci mane, travis porter. Their music has no meaning, no soul, no nothing to me. Rap music today is over rated. J. Cole ALONE brought that back. he dont talk about drugs,killing, messing with numerous females. Its all GREAT MUSIC. nobody is doing what he doing right now. The words are amazing INDEED, and the words = "lyrics" ... NOTHING TO DO WITH MUSIC. You can't notice when tones don't match, the vocal going out of tempo and the guy not rapping in? the groove ?? wow It's very nice that he sampled BALANCE .... but he should have made an effort to at least do 100% of the work instead of only doing 40% and being too lazy to work on the rest. It's called being a PRO, and having respect for your audience. Well maybe the audience is used to crappy produced music.

The problem is not about? sampling it ... the problem is about messing up the track ... the j.cole version sounds extremely cheap , groove doesn't lock , tonality doesn't fit , and he sings at the same time as Tavares ...which kinda messes it up. Dude if you sample something , at least enhance it ... as a respect for the beauty of the original song :(

I don't believe that's what he is saying at? all. His point is that we shouldn't settle for living our lives in a bubble. Yes, some are called to go overseas and preach the gospel to foreign civilizations. But some are called to stay in the country they were born and have a standard job, with a family and kids. And that is okay. Francis is saying, however, that we should be radical in our obedience to God. Desire and pray to be used in God's mission, take risks in Jesus' name.

Chan makes a fundemental mistake here, he assumes that we are all called to do the same thing: No, some are called to go, some are? called to stay put, some are called to give ear to the problems of another, some are called to administrate. some are called to sow, some are called to reap. We are all gifted by The Spirit to different offices. It is arrogant to think MY office should be YOUR office. Chan has a low view of those who are not called to what he is called to.

Francis? makes a good point, but some of those home schooled, close-nit family kids are the most radical, selfless Christians I know. I know he isn't trying to make fun of them but it gives a little mistaken impression.
