Dear MARS1952. Very interested in 7.3 powerstroke but its fuel consumption stops me from buying it. I've gotten tones of INFO about HHO systems, but non of them describe effects on engine(negative ones).Do you have any information? about it? Another question is about VOLOchip for HHO - did you use it in your truck? It have been said that VOLO could increase the fuel efficiency up to 70%. I'm nuw in it and want to get more info before start to do it. Best regards, Alex.

Zf5, five speed manual transmission. Yea, I can understand what you are saying. Although, the 20-24 I was seeing with my 97 4x4 Zf5 powerstroke? was all highway driving. The same open highways every day in Northern PA.

I also get a little better than 14 MPG around my small town. There are a lot of variables.? I bought this truck new and I have checked the MPG on a regular basis over the last 11 years.
By: mars1952. on 30 Apr 12, 12:55:17
What is a? zf5? There are a lot a variables including weight, options, transmission, gears and so forth. But the biggest variable is how the fuel mileage is calculated. There can be as much a a 3 gallon difference between one top off and another. On a short MPG test I can get a 2 MPG variation just because I had to stop at an extra stop light. Long tests are the only way to get any accuracy. Forget about the built in gauge.

Something doesn't seem right. I have had a slew of 7.3's and your best mileage is? around what I get in the city. Highway with a zf5 speed going 60 I would break 20 mpg's without fail. I would get more if I went 55, almost 2 mpg's more. I don't know man, you should be less worried about HHO and more concentrated on getting your fuel mileage to be at least that good on it's own.
By: TreySpooner. on 23 Mar 12, 05:40:23
So you got 14MPG? I? get better than that in city traffic with no fancy gizmos. Am I missing something?
By: paladain55. on 17 Mar 12, 04:31:24
yeah im pretty sure people are spouting words out of their ass on that? one
By: mars1952. on 05 Mar 12, 01:22:31
@KyleCarrington: I am not running HHO? right now because my brick was leaking and I pulled it to use the parts in a new larger Brick (unfinished at this time). I would not worry about HHO affecting any micro-fissures. People run propane without ill effect and propane has much more hydrogen in it than even a very large HHO generator.
By: KyleCarrington. on 04 Mar 12, 23:51:42
Cool. Are you running HHO at all, now? I really like those 7.3's. I got a 6.2 - '89 380,000Km. I stopped running HHO ... only because I was warned. The 6.2's have quite weak blocks, and I'm told 90% of them, that are torn apart, have microfissures in specific weak? spots, and that running hydrogen would cleave those, and finish it off sooner (the block). It runs very well though. Cheers
By: mars1952. on 04 Mar 12, 12:45:22
@KyleCarrington: This brick was an old design and had an MMW of about 4.5? and never really put out enough HHO even when I push it to 100amps so building it so that I could shut parts of it off was a waste of time. The gaskets that I made leaked but it still paid for it's self in fuel savings. If I could do it over again I would but I would use neoprene gaskets. Thanks for the comment.
By: KyleCarrington. on 04 Mar 12, 01:55:28
What is your estimated efficiency on this setup? Or MMW.. either way. Looks good. I like the idea you presented for 4-tab voltage sourcing, was it a bit trickier to get all the connections in place, etc.? Still feel that was worth it? Thanks. Nice work, great? channel.

okay I have a 2002 f250 7.3L and on my truck at 70mph my rpm is 2000 yours seems really high why is that and on my trip to knoxville from baton rouge was getting 18.77mpg my truck is all stock no chip or? anything aftermarket (except the sound system) oh i was hauling a Mastercraft X45 boat

I had a 2006 6.0l F-350 diesel & it would got 11 MPG, I upgraded to a cold air intake, BD Chip & 4" exhaust with cat removed & averaged 14 MPG. I now have a 2010 ram 350 6.7L was getting 18 MPG. I just installed a Cold air intake & now get 19 MPG. I ordered a H&S chip & DPF delete for it? and will install it soon. I also ordered the D-7 Hydrogen Kit from hydrogen-generators-usa With all these upgades I hope for 25-30 MPG. Will keep you posted
By: fitimio001. on 05 Nov 11, 23:00:25
If you go 55 you will get wayyyy more mpg's. Because the car doesn't have to? fight air friction, and the gear ratio.
By: 73dieseltech. on 15 Oct 11, 03:54:49
i pull around 20mpg out of? my 2000 superduty with the 7.3l, it is auto aswell as four wheel drive. i have common performance parts for it such as a edge bow, a x wheel and 4" exaughst. no propane or nitros. i also put a 6.0l icp sensor on it and used a ipr from a 3126e cat motor try it

i agree mate... thats why i'm doing this in Australia before this sort of shit starts happening here... out fuel is currently 1.40~ (~ = or thereabouts) upto nearlt $1.50 ... i'm getting on this shit so soon and keeping my festiva 1.3 for as? long as i can.. next car will definately be a fuel injected with HHO... but i'm sure by the time that comes around, HHO will be improved somewhat and more readily available
By: theandrew999. on 19 Sep 11, 03:14:09
I built one for my? van and definitely got a bit more gas mileage. The most striking thing for me about it was the exhaust aroma. The hydrogen injected into the air intake causes a much more complete fuel burn. I sat at my tail pipe sniffing, just steam. Hardly any smell at all.

I bought the SS at the scrap yard, I already had the scrap fish pond liner and I bought the other? hardware at the hardware store. I did a lot of experimenting so I can only guess at the cost of this unit. My guess is about $200.
By: mikeypick1. on 18 Sep 11, 18:22:40
How much did this cost you to do your install,? and where did you get your components?
By: fuelban. on 16 Sep 11, 08:18:19
Hi, Reading your post, I don't understand what (WATF) Means ?? !!, When I Google it,? I just get some mad band... !! Please explain when you get time... thanks. Thom in Scotland.

Come to? the UK and you can add the equivalent of another $11 per gallon to that ! We are completely conned in this country. Now smoking is banned, the Government have to put taxes up on everything else. What a shame they don't tax fat people more as they are a drain on healthcare - then ban and close down McDonalds, KFC nd BurgerKing!!!
